WHAT IS IMAGINE GAMES?
Imagine Games is a table-top game shop. We sell board and card games and organize gaming tournaments and events. For more info have a look at the About Us page.
We are NOT 'Game' the southern African wholesale store, that's a whole different franchise and type of shop, yet we still do get a lot of calls and questions asking for prices of toasters and washing machines.
WHAT DO YOU SELL?
We sell old-school traditional board games and card games, and all kinds of related accessories. Our most popular gaming brands are definitely Magic: the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons but there is a whole world out there to choose from.
We don't sell any console or computer games or materials. We also don't sell toasters, wash machines, cell phones, microwaves, tents (just to name a few of the requests we've gotten over the years)

I CAN'T FIND THE GAME I'M LOOKING FOR IN YOUR ONLINE SHOP. DO YOU HAVE IT?
The list of games we have access to on order is so long that it would take ages to list them all on the website. If you can't find the one you are looking for, just send us a message using the contact form and we'll get back to you with prices and availability if we can get it.
WHAT DOES PRE-ORDER MEAN?
Pre-order is a term we use for products which have not been released yet but which have a known release date. This mainly applies for Magic: the Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons releases but occasionally for board games and certain accessories as well.
We usually offer special discount rates for pre-ordering products so it is well worthwhile ordering in advance. It also helps us get a better estimate for our order quantities, so we appreciate it greatly!
Magic and D&D products also usually come with a myriad of promos and extra goodies for those who preorder so keep an eye on the product details and our blog for what you can expect!
I WANT TO ORDER A GAME, HOW WILL I GET IT FROM YOU?
When placing an order from our online shop, you'll be given a couple of options at checkout for delivery. You can either:
- have the product delivered in Windhoek
- have it delivered to anywhere in Namibia by courier
- or pick it up from it the shop
If you choose to pick up from the shop, there's no extra shipping charge and you can also pay for the product directly at the shop with cash or card.
Deliveries within Windhoek are free for orders over N$ 500, for anything less than that we charge a N$ 50 delivery fee.
Courier deliveries to anywhere else in Namibia are possible and the costs depend on on where and the size of the parcel. We will use local couriers and ship the parcel out within 24 hours of the order. The costs will be carried by you and should be paid to the courier service on COD basis.
WHEN WILL YOU PROCESS MY ORDER?
We will process orders on weekdays during office hours. If you've placed your order over a weekend, you'll have to wait till Monday to get it processed.
For local deliveries and pick-up from the shop orders, we will need a few hours to get your orders ready meaning: orders placed during the morning (before 12 oçlock) will be ready for collection or delivered in the afternoon, and orders placed during the afternoon (after 12 oçlock) will be ready the following morning. Orders placed on a Friday after 12 will be ready the following Monday morning latest.
For deliveries outside Windhoek: you'r order will be processed and shipped within 24 hours and we will notify you with a waybill number for the courier service once the shipment is on it's way.
HOW DO I PAY FOR MY ORDER?
Our online shop offers the options for EFT payment or physical payment (card or cash) when collecting from the store and for deliveries in Windhoek. We are working on getting credit card payments in as an option but for now it is not possible
For orders outside Windhoek, we require full payment by EFT before we ship off your order.
THE ONLINE SHOP SAYS ITEM IS AVAILABLE ON BACK ORDER. WHAT DOES IT MEAN?
The item you are looking at is currently not in stock or is only available on order.
When it comes to board games, we only keep stock of the most popular items, BUT all products displayed on the online shop can be ordered through us. Our biggest suppliers are in South Africa so barring any crisis your order should arrive in Windhoek within 14 days from when your order is placed
I'VE PLACED AN ORDER FOR A GAME YOU DO NOT HAVE IN STOCK. HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TILL I GET IT?
Most of our products come from South Africa. We try to pool several orders together before shipping from SA to keep the prices as low as possible for your and this means it might take up to 2 weeks to get here.
But don't worry, we'll keep you updated on the progress of your order.
IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT AT YOUR EVENTS?
Yes and no.
We do not have a set age limit for our events and we pride ourselves for being a safe and comfortable venue open for adults and kids alike, so children and teenagers are always welcome.
However, the games played at our events can be very complex and our events are generally in the evenings, so it is up to the parents to determine the suitability for their kids.
Our D&D groups are generally set for either adults or children, but we do offer both options so just get in touch to find out where we can slot you or your child in.
We are happy to entertain you and your kids at the shop and your kids are welcome to stay even without the parents supervision. But we do not accept or take responsibility for your children or what they do at the shop and they are there at your and their own risk.
We also reserve the right of admission and, if necessary, will remove anybody from our premises, for any reason we see fit.
I WANT TO START PLAYING DUNGEONS & DRAGONS. HOW DO I JOIN A D&D GROUP?
We got multiple D&D groups, for adults and for teens, running through out the week. All groups are running different long term campaigns and we are always happy to get new players into the game.
The best way to get into the thick of things is getting in touch with us directly and we can discuss it further to find the right spot for you.
If you are interested but don't know what D&D is about, you are welcome to pop in on any given weekday night to spectate a game and the Dungeon Master can give you more information. Just see our events page to confirm when exactly the events fire off.
I WANNA START PLAYING MAGIC: THE GATHERING. HOW DO I GO ABOUT IT?
We have weekly magic nights happening on Wednesdays and Fridays. Wednesday are always casual play and on Fridays we have both a tournament and casual play space.
All you have to do is show up on one of those nights and we'll help you get started, show you the rules, and give you some cards to take home with you. From then on it's up to you how often and on which days you want to join the community for some casual games or tournaments.

WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?
Our shop at the Grüner Kranz is open Monday to Friday and occasionally on Saturdays.
At the moment due to the Covid-19 restrictions the shop opens to the public
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday: 8.00 - 13.00
Wednesday, Friday: 8.00 - 13.00 and then again 17.30 - 22.00
We only open up on Saturdays if we have an event, so the easiest way to know whether we are open on any given Saturday is to have a look at our events calendar.
